WORTH HIGGINS & ASSOCIATES, INC. AQUIRES PAGE STATIONERY
Richmond, Va., May 1, 2012 - Worth Higgins & Associates, Virginia’s largest sheet fed commercial printer, today announced the acquisition of Richmond based Page Stationery. Page has been creating custom letterpress wedding invitations, announcements and note cards for clients nationwide since 1999. Page Stationery will become a division of Worth Higgins & Associates, retaining the Page Stationery name.
Page Stationery sells primarily through independent brick and mortar retailers across the country that cater to an upscale clientele. Individual buyers order Page Stationery products online at www.pagestationery.com. Produced on antique presses which make a characteristic deep impression on heavy paper, letterpress is enjoying a revival sparked by Martha Stewart about ten years ago.
Page has recently begun offering a more affordable line of digitally printed designs in partnership with Worth Higgins & Associates. “Our first collaboration, called The Graduate, is a boxed line of thank-you notes that our dealers can customize by changing the color of the stripes on the back to match their local school colors. It’s been hugely popular,” said Page Stationery creative director Sue Corral.
“Worth Higgins & Associates brings capabilities like foil stamping, embossing, die cutting and personalization to our product mix, which will broaden our line and help distinguish us in the market we serve. Adding digital capabilities allows us to offer an expanded selection of custom and boxed products at affordable price points to our network of premium dealers nationwide," said Taylor Johnson, director of operations at Page."And, we’re excited to offer the beauty and simplicity of our letterpress designs to Worth Higgins & Associates’ commercial clients. It's really a win win scenario."
“Although innovation and technology have always been driving values for our company,” said Rick LaReau, president of Worth Higgins & Associates, “letterpress harkens back to an age when tradition and craftsmanship were valued as well. The revival of letterpress brings handmade, elegant simplicity to personal communications and marketing materials. We’re excited about being able to offer our clients a capability that is both on trend and timeless.”
Worth Higgins & Associates is headquartered in Richmond. The company’s 160 employee owners produce marketing communications on paper and online for corporate, institutional and advertising clients across the US.
